Alive She Died bio

Alive She Died was a cult new wave/minimal synth, post-punk band. Their first gig took place in Pegasus, the historical live rock club located in Athens/Greece – and it was a sold out. From then on, ASD performed a few gigs and self-released a tape, titled Viva Voce. The myth of Alive She Died was revitalized once more when the fashion brand Gucci favoured the band's cover version on Joy Division's "She's Lost Control" as the music theme for its Cruise 2016 campaign.

In March 2017 Geheimnis Records released 700 hand-numbered copies of the long-awaited vinyl issue, which includes all the songs featured on Viva Voce plus unreleased material from the band's active era (1984-1986).

Since April 2021 the Gucci commercial film is screened at the Gucci Garden museum in Florence/Italy, and also within the Museum Virtual Tour via the museum's website.
